Who we are

TripBanao is a travel company at 2nd Floor, PSR Plaza, No: 248, 24th Main Rd, 5th Phase, KR Layout, JP Nagar Phase 6, J. P. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560078 We decide why and how your data is used, which makes us the “Data Fiduciary” under the Act. What we collect

• When you send an enquiry or quote request: your name, email, phone number, destination, dates, number of travellers and the message you write.
• When you send a corporate enquiry: the above, plus your company, designation, company website, event details, rooms, budget range, notes and any hotels you shortlist.
• When you call or message us on WhatsApp: your number and what you tell us.
• When you visit the website: anonymous counts only: which pages were opened, which buttons were tapped, and which website sent the visitor. We do not store your IP address, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We do not ask for payment card details, government ID numbers or your precise location on this website.

Why we use it

• To reply to you and prepare quotes and proposals.
• To check availability with hotels and suppliers and make bookings, but only when you ask us to.
• To keep records we must keep for accounts and law.
• To understand which pages are useful (anonymous counts).

We use your details only for these purposes. We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing messages unless you separately agree to receive them.

Your consent

Before you send a form we ask you to tick a box agreeing to our use of the details for that enquiry. The tick box is never pre-ticked. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by contacting us (see “Your rights”). Withdrawing does not affect what we did before you withdrew. If you withdraw, we may no longer be able to continue your enquiry.

Who sees your data

Our team, and the service providers that run our systems for us:

• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Upstash: stores corporate enquiries in our database.
• Resend: sends our enquiry emails and receipts.
• WhatsApp (Meta) and email providers: when you choose to message us there.
• Google Maps: only if you press “Load map” on the contact page.

These providers process data on our behalf and some may do so on servers outside India. Hotels, venues and other suppliers receive your details only when you ask us to request a quote or booking from them. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and then deleted. Records we are legally required to keep (for example for accounts) are kept for as long as the law requires. Anonymous website counts are kept for up to 120 days.

Your rights

Under the Act you can:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
• withdraw your consent;
• complain to us about how your data is handled (grievance redressal);
• nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.

We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are so that we do not give your data to someone else.

Grievance officer

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our forms are for adults (18 and over). If you are booking a trip for a family that includes children, please send the details yourself as the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children, and we do not track or target children.

How we protect it

The website uses encrypted connections. Enquiry data is stored in a protected database. Staff sign in with their own accounts, access is limited to what each person needs, and actions are logged. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Cookies

We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Staff sign-in uses one essential cookie that is never set for visitors.

Changes
